{my little mermaid}

FINALLY!
The mermaid has arrived. She was so excited~ she loves it. Makes making it worth it when she squeeled out loud when I said it was finished! And, it looks alright in the pic, but I promise I am NO seamstress. Its almost falling apart already...good thing Halloween happens mostly in the dark! No one will care that the tail has some flaws! hehe!

YAY!

Just wanted to update the fam on how the shoots went. They all went well (some better than others), and I hate my lens. It makes my life stressed out! I am thinkin of selling it. Which is sad since it is my most expensive lens, and it gets the worst results. I will send it to be callibrated by Canon one of these days! I just hate it and maybe it will get lost in the mail! Better get insurance for it! Anyway, you can see some of the picts on the OCP blog, link to the right, if you wish. The ones of Ollie and the kids are awesome, Most of Ry's and rach's went alright, except when I used that dang lens! oh well, there are plenty of good ones to chose from! I will try to post some here to. I just get so busy!

Anywhoo, the kids are super excited for HALLOWEEN, as am I. charley is going to be the most challenging I think, since she wants to be Ariel The little mermaid, and I can't find a costume ANYWHERE. So me being the brilliant brain surgeon I am, decided to make it from scratch. HA! Its wednesday already, and not even started. I have a photoshoot tonight, Jackson's choir concert after that, a redbox dvd that has to be watched (the strangers! SUPER SCARY), Then I have a symphony concert with Emma and Charley in the morning, work tomorrow, and Party planning for Emma's class which entails sorting 3 different colors of beads into 24 piles for a necklace. Not hard right? Just time consuming! Major! anyway, plus all the regular stuff like editing, charley, the kids, Kurt, dinner, laundry, showers, and the list is endless! So I can hear you all saying 'PRIORITIZe' well, you can tell me which one is most important in your world, and we'll see what actually gets done around here!
oh well, no time like the present!

Their costumes:

Emma - Hannah Montana (even got her a wig...like she needs it.)
Ellie - Red Ninja
Charley - The little Mermaid Ariel
Kurt - Clown
Michelle - Unknown
Jackson - A doodlebop (maybe an oompa loompa)

{we're all gonna get in a fight!}

So #1 pick this week for me is definately Pink {so what}
Favorite line {I guess I just lost my husband, I don't know where he went}

Charley LOVES this song sooo much, I think she has an ear for music with a good beat and fun melody. She knows it almost by heart and she has only heard it a few times!

#2 this week is easily won by "Gavin" or Mr. Stefani {love remains the same}
Favorite line {I never thought that I had anymore to give}

Its the melody. kinda speaks to the soul. and I love it when you realize there is more inside you than you gave yourself credit for.

#3 The Killers {Human} need I say more?
Favorite line {are we human?}

Are we? sometimes I don't think so.

Enjoy!

you got a favorite? I am ALWAYS looking for new music! leave me your favorite song and line!

Toilets

I hate them. Well, cleaning them anyway. Probably my least favorite household chore. Next would definately be cooking dinner.
Give me the laundry and mowing the lawn.

Just a random thought. :)

I miss my man

So Kurt has been gone to his sisters house, and I am alone with 4 kids, a messy house, and nothing for dinner. Its been a long long week of being sick and falling behind in everything! I want to turn to someone and make them hold me, but he is not here! I miss you babe, drive safely.

He's only been gone for 2 days. I am a whimp.

That is why I have this hottie on the blog over there....he is helping me be distracted.
Go ahead...be distracted too.

Buck Fever Baby!

Yes, the Muzzleloader was a success in terms of tag fulfillment. And
at the expense of this poor Buck. BUT I guess he had to have his
FIRST
kill at some point or another, may as well be on his first hunt. That is a pretty good record!
Anyway, he is extremely excited to have bagged the buck. Then the two boys decided to do a
Euro mount all on their own. Kurt has boiled brain scent infused into his nostril membrane.
He loves his son that much. I wouldn't go near it because I don't love him enough
to smell boiled brain. and because I would have barfed for sure.
The dog liked the smell. She hung out with Kurt all day at his heals, waiting for
a chunk to make it to the floor for her enjoyment. I was just hoping that maybe
if she ate some brains, she would then have some brains of her own.
So far, she still has no brain.

But you know I love you......

by Alison Krauss and Union Station

An instant fav for me when I first heard this a few years ago off her LIVE album. They are absolutely incredible live in a concert hall. I have NEVER heard anything like them. I have been to many a concert in my day, but never been completely awed like I was when they came to Kingsbury Hall...wow. Anyway, anyone knows she is a favorite of mine, and this song just fit my day today...
favorite line: 'How I wish that love was all we need to live
What a life we'd have, Cause I've got so much to give'

Yes, yes, if only we could live on dreams and love...how rich we would all be!

Anyway, Its not a super upbeat song, which I might need for this monday, but its a good song that warms me inside. Enjoy!

Quick Trip to Utah Valley pt. 2

Precious smooches from Grandma.......

O sleepy one......

Sweet cuddles...
She was a great mom to all of us growing up, she is
now a wonderful grandmother to all her beautiful
grandbabies. she derserves all the love she can hold in her arms....

The Hills - the real hills.
A bunch of goobers if you ask me!
Thanks mom for letting us crash suddenly at your abode. I love
spending time with you, and thanks for appeasing Charleys requests
for making cookies. She really was sooo excited to do it!

Quick Trip to Utah Valley

What a little ham. She is totally her mom....in attitude!
Walking around like she is alllll that and more!
But you can't help but love her cause she is completely adorable!

Those big beautiful blue eyes that take up half of her face, this pict. really doesn't
do her justice. The eyelashes are worth thousands...people would pay for her eyelashes!

Charley didn't know what to think of Lesa's little monster, so she pushed
her down the slide once and made her cry, ripped her shoes off when Elle
was trying them on, and then gave me a runway smirk.
She is nuts too.

Elliette couldn't wear Charley's shoes, so she tried on these walkin boots, holding on
to Jackson for support! Like I said, she is completely adorable!
