Down The Road~
I am absolutely in love with this song from Kenny Chesney. I haven't always liked his music, every now and then he gets me with a good song., BUT this one hit me right in the face and I love it.

True Colours~
I owe my mom's love for music to helping me discover Eva Cassidy. She always wanted to hear me sing a similar version of her 'over the rainbow', and someday I will make her wish come true. For now, I just love her depth and sound. Its a classic song anyhow, reminds me of a cyndi lauper teddy bear i used to have on a sweatshirt when I was young.

Danny's song~
I don't particularly love Ann Murray's version, but this is one of my most favorite songs to sing with Kurt, so it had to be added. And I couldn't forget about another of my favorite duets with Kurt, Drivin my life away. i think I like the tempo most. Enjoy!! Its a good week for music!

xx Stitches anyone? xx

13 stitches and a small puncture wound.
Thats what we got today at our house.
Stupid table saw kicked a 2x4 block right at Kurts face.
Luckily it hit his chin and collar bone, and missed major arteries, and other important parts of his face. It cut pretty clean across the chin, i thought, until the doctor was examining him and spread open his cut and I could see the inside of the wound was kinda like hamburger. He had two layers of stitches to help hold together some of the insides in the right place. He aslo had to have a tetanous (sp?) shot which he really hated. The block of wood had a screw half way in it for some reason, and that gave him a small puncture wound just above his collar bone. He is really lucky considering all the places that could have caused severe damage if things would have been slightly different. Stand one way or the other and he could have had the screw in his neck, or his eye, or taken off his nose or an ear...all the possibilities. But Kurt is lucky that way, he took it like a man, and now he will have one of those scars to compare with the boys at work. Anywhoo, it was a relief to get him stitched up, and it amazed me that when we got home, he went right back to work in the garage.

TWILIGHT

Lets see, where to start, where to start.

I was let down. I just kept expecting it to get better. It wasn't aweful, it was just not done very well.
Parts that i didn't like:
The makeup
The dialog
jasper
skipping the meadow scene

Parts I did like:
Soundtrack
Cheif Charlie Swan
Jacob
Bella
and Edward in parts.

There you have it. I could go on and on about it, but lets just say I wouldn't go see it in the theaters again (Sorry Jackson), but I would rent it from Redbox. So there ya go.

{Safe}

So Kurt made it home, Gone less than 24 hours. I think this is good for me, I didn't know how afraid of planes I actually was. Its good to know my fears. He said that the plane was smooth sailin, and the most terrifying part was getting gas in Sacramento. Funny. Anyway.

YEAH BABY!! TWILIGHT TOMORROW!! Have fun everyone who has tickets. Can't wait to see the book come to life! Hopefully my husband wont be the only person asleep in the theater. And I hope that I am not completely surrounded by thirteen year old girls giggling and talking the whole time. I should've probably waited a few weeks until it had calmed down, but I just couldn't wait. So I have doomed myself. All the kids want to go see it, including Charley just because everyone else wants to go, but I just couldn't do the kid thing when I am trying to concentrate. Its kinda selfish, but I wanted to enjoy it. Plus Kurt and I rarely go out by ourselves, so its a great opportunity to kill alot of birds. :)

{airplanes}

The top three songs are dedicated to my sweet man. He is taking on my worst current fear....airplanes. He is flying to California on someones private jet for a training session about a system in the house he is wiring for KV. AND it terrifies me. I just hate planes. Sorry Les, sorry Jay, sorry every pilot out there! I just DO NOT like putting my life in the hands of someone else...i know i know, the statistics of plane crashes, and air travel is safer than the streets, but there is just something about them that makes me sick to my guts. Needless to say, I am truly having an anxiety attack about this. I am sure he will be fine, its just that the threat is there in the back of my mind and it wont go away. So, thats that.

Other than that, I put some songs on the list from Paramore, they are on the twilight soundtrack and I like thier sound. Don't know them that well, so its more for me to distract myself and give something else a try! I really like Hallelujah so far. but no favorite lines yet.

{peek a boo}

A little over due, but I am finally out from behind the lens....My friend/neighbor/coworker/photographer took this of Charley and I while scouting for new locations. St George is fastly approaching capacity for photographers. There's just alot of people with little space. Anywhoo, I was thrilled when I saw a shot that is completely 'US' ~ since Char and I are joined at the hip!
Another week gone by, I need to pick some new favorite tunes...
Anyway, enjoy!

{ollie}

My oldest brother Oliver and his gorgeous kids! It has been years since I have actually seen these kids, and it was such a treat to get to spend a few minutes with them and take some picts. I miss these guys sooo much! Its hard to be so far away (during the summer months ONLY) from the family. That is the only drawback with living in St George, all our family is up north. So we do appreciate when ever anyone makes it south. But aren't they just so gorgeous? I can still see the 'baby-ness' in all of them still...maybe its in their eyes...they look the same as when they were 2 years old. ahhh. so cute. thanks to Ollie to do something that is probably on the list of unbareable tortures for him...taking pictures. Why do all men not like getting pictures taken? Seriously, i want to know.

And I adore the sunflare on this photo....plus how big Payden is next to Ollie, Madi, and Randy. Talk about growing up! Still, they are just sweet kids.
